What
Exactly Does Green Lantern Do?
In
1980, Green Lantern built its first self-service car
wash in Salina, Kansas. Using methods developed by
its parent company, Blue Beacon International, the undisputed leader in the truck washing business for over 30 years with
over 100 truck washes nationwide, Green Lantern was
able to provide customers with a spot-free rinse that
left their vehicle shiny. Today, patented chemical
formulas and reverse osmosis equipment have allowed
Green Lantern to use the proven systems used by Blue
Beacon. Together, Blue Beacon and Green Lantern continually
seek methods that can clean a vehicle quickly and thoroughly,
while being environmentally friendly.
Today, Green Lantern has grown to include four self-service locations that feature
clean, well-maintained bays and vacuums. Three of those
locations also include Green Lantern Convenience Stores.
With Shell® fuel, "The Cave" that houses the Coldest Drinks in Town, and Baskin Robbins® Ice Cream, Green Lantern puts the "convenience" back into the convenience store.
Green Lantern is also joined by other Blue Beacon subsidiaries in the service
industry:
- Lighthouse Properties
- This division owns and operates franchise locations
for extended stay hotels, such as Homewood Suites
in Wichita, and The Raphael Hotel in Kansas City's
Country Club Plaza.
- Petro Division - This division owns and operates a Petro:2 Stopping Center® franchise, and includes a Pizza Hut Express® and a Wendy's® fast food restaurant.
With the vast experience
gained from all of these diversified companies, Green
Lantern is poised to be a leader in the car care service
industry.
Although we are currently a small company, we have years of experience in washing
vehicles of all sizes and serving the public in many
different aspects. This experience laid the groundwork
for a concept that takes automatic washing even further.
In 2001, our first Express Service location opened
in Salina, and offers a superior quality exterior wash
with a quick, thorough interior service option. Hundreds
of soft-cloth mitters, teamed with high-pressure, spot-free
rinsing, 14 high-powered dryers, and 120° heated air provide our customers with a clean, shiny, and dry vehicle, every
time. From the Welcome Station to the Premium Services
area, your vehicle receives care inside and out, quickly
and professionally.
Since our first proto-type opened in 2001, we have
continued to expand in the Kansas City, Wichita, and
St. Louis areas. Future growth will continue in Kansas
City and other sites in the Midwest.
